The group’s name, 1VERSE, carries a profound meaning, as Kenny explains: “Alone, we are verses; together, we make a song, our universe.”

“Our debut album ‘The 1st Verse’ represents the identity of our team. It is the first chapter of the story we want to share,” Hyuk reveals.

MULTIVERSE

The showcase opened with “Multiverse,” a pre-debut single blending retro and modern styles. Hyuk created this song with renowned producers.

It conveys unconditional love, a tribute to their fan base, known as 5TARZ, or “stars.” The members performed “Multiverse” with charm and charisma.

Aito, who led the choreography, described his vision: “I wanted to express the idea of stars coming together through a portal to create one universe.”

SHATTERED

For their title track, “Shattered,” Hyuk and Kenny worked on writing and composing, while Aito worked on the choreography.

Kenny characterized the song, saying, “It expresses chaos and confusion through raw lyrics and explosive energy.”

Seok shared a personal connection to the song, stating, “One of my favorite lines is ‘Who’s gonna save us now?’ I’ve gone through difficult times, often wishing someone would rescue me. That line resonates with me.”

ORDINARY PERSON

Among its members, 1VERSE includes Hyuk and Seok, who are North Korean defectors and bring unique perspectives shaped by their journeys.

Hyuk’s rap song, “Ordinary Person,” reflects his hope for a sense of belonging. “By joining the company, meeting the members, and connecting with the fans, I found a new community. I felt like I belonged in this busy world,” Hyuk says.

Although not included on their debut album, 1VERSE performed this track, which has resonated with 5TARZ.
